The participation of Prime Biosciences in the 3rd Conference on "Modern Developments in NICU" was completed with great success. The event took place on May 15th and 16th, 2026, at the Grand Hotel Palace in Thessaloniki.
The conference was organized by the 2nd Neonatal Department and NICU of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (A.U.Th.), G.H.T. "PAPAGEORGIOU" in collaboration with the Medical Society of Thessaloniki. We would like to extend our warmest congratulations to the organizers for the impeccable organization and the exceptionally high scientific level, as highly interesting and topical issues regarding the sensitive field of Neonatology were presented and discussed.
Within the framework of the scientific program, Prime Biosciences had the honor of organizing a highly significant Satellite Lecture titled: "The use of Delictase in preterm infants", chaired by Mr. Christos Tsakalidis, Professor of Neonatology at A.U.Th., Director of the 2nd Neonatal Department and NICU, G.H.T. "PAPAGEORGIOU" and speaker was Mr. Dimitrios Rallis, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics-Neonatology at A.U.Th., 2nd Neonatal Department & NICU, G.H.T. "PAPAGEORGIOU".
During the lecture, the data of the ongoing clinical study "LactoGAIN trail" conducted by the 2nd Neonatal Department & NICU of G.H.T. "PAPAGEORGIOU" were presented. The purpose of this study is to examine whether the administration of Delictase® (lactase) can support weight gain in preterm infants.
Key findings of the study:
The administration of lactase (Delictase®) is associated with better weight gain in preterm infants.
A significantly better rate of overall weight gain was recorded during their hospitalization in the NICU.
The administration of the formula proved to be completely safe, as it is not associated with any adverse effects in preterm infants.
This presentation generated intense interest and a fruitful dialogue among the scientific community, highlighting the importance of Delictase® in supporting the development of preterm infants.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the multitude of pediatricians, neonatologists, and healthcare professionals who visited the Prime Biosciences booth during the two-day event.
Your trust, the exchange of views, and your interest in the solutions we provide inspire us to continue supporting your work with consistency and scientific validity.
